The PND7000 series has many upgraded features from previous models. The screen size is 1-inch larger than last year’s 63-inch model. Upgraded to 15,000,000:1 dynamic contrast (double last year’s model), Built in Wifi wireless, and upgraded to the latest Energy Star® (which uses less energy than previous models). This set weighs almost 10% less than last year’s model. The 1920 x 1080 pixel count of this plasma TV provides twice the number of pixels as 720p HDTV displays. Samsung’s 3D Active Glasses sync up with your 3D TV to produce 3D images, allowing you to watch movies and TV with action that leaps right off the screen. Even your favorite 2D shows can now be transformed to 3D in real time. You can play 3D content from 3D enabled Blu-ray players, and future broadcasts on cable and satellite, including movies and sports. Samsung’s Real Black Filter, (previously only on the 8000 series) is included and improves performance in bright light, provides deeper blacks, and improves contast. Supports side-by-side and over-and-under 3D formats.
